FOUNDER & PRESIDENT - Mr. Vinod Kalkotwar

Vinod has a wealth of investment banking and private-equity experience at leading financial institutions of India. Based in Bangalore for the last thirteen years, Vinod has amassed strong relationships with leading Venture Capitalists, Bankers, Angel Investors, financiers, technology entrepreneurs, academicians and industrialists in India.

Vinod employs his long techno-financing experience and relationships to source assignments, perform due diligence, negotiate investment terms, structuring financing plan, structure promoters' capital and effectively manage the assignments. Vinod has expertise in creating and helping entrepreneurs to build sustained business right for idea stage, mentor the entrepreneurs, identify and hire right managerial / technical talent for business.

Prior to promoting Kalozal, Vinod was heading Accrete Finance, a private equity investment banking and management firm based in Bangalore. At Accrete, he was responsible for strategic planning, equity and debt syndication with venture capitalists and lending institutions, nurturing of technology businesses from idea to IPO stage and innovative financial engineering. Prior to Accrete, Vinod was a Vice President at ICDS Securities, a financial services firm of the prestigious Manipal Pais Group in India.

Vinod had overall management responsibility of ICDS. Prior to ICDS, Vinod was employed as Senior Manager in Merchant Banking and Credit Services with Canara Bank, a leading banking institution in India. At Canara Bank, Vinod started the Industrial Advisory Division (IAD), a decision support system for the bank and headed a team of 25 senior professionals - Engineers/CAs/Management in techno-economic assessment of over 75 diverse industrial projects with funds deployment of over $50 million in various companies.

Vinod has M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India and MBA in International Marketing and Finance.
